Organic SEO Tips

Tip on Maintaining Valid Backlink Titles: Every veteran Organic SEO knows that webpages get listed at the top of engines because the keyword being searched is being used as the webpage's backlink title. [see ThySEO Checklist #2] Sometimes a low to average volume keyword phrase found with a keyword suggestion tool does not give the same amount of hits as you hope. Proof of this can be found using the free tracking system Google Analytics. The analytic stat of importance in recognizing all valid keywords driving in visitors is found under "Traffic Sources > Keywords." This stat will show you that even though you have a top rank at one engine, with what you thought was a good phrase, it is not good at that engine. The reason for this could be that the webmaster suggestion tool is incorrect or that the engines in fact promote different "Related Searches" found on the SERPs. The different promotion makes a keyword phrase more searched for at an engine over another.

Check to see if your site is listed at Google, Yahoo, and msn by doing a search for your full url - for Google use Site Status - for Yahoo and msn use the Internet Explorer 7 top right search box to toggle between searches. Search using the part of your url after the "http://" for efficient results. Your listing at Ask.com, the fourth most popular engine, is not that important.

If your site is listed, skip to 5.

If not listed, work on the Organic SEO that you think could make your site more engine friendly, and resubmit your site. Does your site have what it takes to take be included in the Search Engine index? For help, see Google Webmaster Central, Yahoo! Webpublishers and the next step.

Once listed at Google, Yahoo and msn, your SE Optimization priority is acquiring relevant high quality BLs (backlinks)[see Thy Organic SEO Checklist #3] and content updating! Use 4B Solution above for BLs. Also, note that the best way to get free backlinks is by offering a useful service or resource.
